When I was born, my parents were stunned. I was illuminated, almost holy, a docile burst in that sterile place (a poverty, a stupidity). This is how the story goes. Wherever I go, I am my own ghetto. I don’t drive. Mobility is an issue. When I am rushing, no one knows. It’s like watching clouds crawl across the zone of a flat Pennsylvania sky. Did you see that? the voice asks. No answer. I am there, intellectually dividing myself. Nevertheless, “Taking Up Space”: Email me. tmlindsay@icloud.com

Bantu Knot-out Shout Out

Yes, this little number shall be called Bantu Knot-out Shout Out. I took the effort to make a collage because we are witnessing the best style result I've had since my "Big Chop" on 28th February.

Here's the recipe: Wash with Tresemme's Naturals, condition with Herbal Essences It's a Curl Thing, Spritz with a mix of hot water and Creme of Nature Argan oil intensive conditioner in the shower. Rinse. but don't rinse all conditioner out. Wrap head in a cotton t-shirt. Keracare Leave in conditioner. Twist the Bantu knots with Keracare Twist & Define Cream and organic Efa Gold coconut oil.

Result: My actual hair looks great, full, shiny, feels so soft and smells like a coconut. I wasn't sure about the style at first. I did some of the knots too small and tight and some too big, but it seems to get better with time.
